Meera Jasmine is not standing idle whilst waiting for the release of the much-anticipated Kannada movie Hoo, now scheduled for later this month, with its record-breaking audio sales and which also stars V.Ravichandran and Namitha. Meera is now busy working on Paattinde Paalaazhi, her first Malayalam film in two years. The movie tells the story of a simple Brahmin girl who falls in love with a rich international businessman and also features Krishna Kumar.
The National Award winning actress can also be seen this month in Aakasa Ramanna, a multi-starrer with a cast led by Sivaji. Watch out for her also in the remarkable Sivappu Mazhai, made by eccentric Canadian record-breaker Suresh Joachim, who has set himself the task of having the most world records in the Guinness Book of World Records. Suresh, who is currently running 406km on a treadmill in Toronto, made the film in just 11 days and will release it simultaneously in three languages in twenty countries with English subtitles. Suresh, of course, plays the lead in the film.
Meera’s fans are waiting in eager anticipation for Moksha, described as a unique horror film covering a topic never filmed before. Meera plays the lead role in the film and is said to put in a performance which is completely different to anything she has done before.
