A student of Kher’s prestigious Actor Prepares acting school, the director said he wanted to bring an actor prepared, not just a face. “I was very clear that I’ll be casting someone from my school. We need trained actors”, he said. ”When I debuted, you had to look like a certain person. Baal hone chahiye the, woh bhi khaas kisam ke. Ab jaise aap dikhte ho, woh aapka plus point hai. This is because the casting director is looking for various faces for various characters. I think it’s very important. We don’t want to launch faces. We launch talent. There’s a difference. You launch faces for products. Talent is for stories and for cinematic medium.“
Adding on social media, “I was 100% sure to find Tanvi from my acting school @actorprepares. But it was a difficult task to find TANVI! Difficult, because Tanvi represents goodness, innocence, charm, a sense of wonder, funniness, and purity! Tanvi is DIFFERENT, but NO LESS! It took us more than six months to find her! One day in my master class at the school where I had asked students to shut their eyes and have total calmness on their faces, I saw SHUBHANGI with her eyes shut and peace written all over face. Later, she told us that she was actually in a dream world, which was her security blanket. I will leave all the details for later. But today, my dearest Shubhangi, you will meet the world.
