After five years of working on the biopic Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra can finally rejoice in the overwhelming response the film has received post release.
A film that resonates the story of the legendary athlete Milkha Singh reportedly collected 55 crore in the first week of release, and has been trending well across multiplexes till date.
Recently, Mehra spoke with NDTV India about the global appreciation Bhaag Milkha Bhaag continues to receive articulating, “We knew Milkhaji’s story would have a resonant emotional impact. But we couldn’t have guessed it would reach so far and wide”.
Actor Farhan Akhtar has been overwhelmed with the response, “I am just so happy. Acceptance and recognition of one’s effort is such a wonderful feeling.”
