Okay. Before you all decide to kick up a fuss regarding the inclusion of Thank You in the list, remember this – it is not me who decides who gets included and who doesn’t. This has already been determined by you. The cinegoer. And it was you who decided that Thank You should be included, which is why this Anees Bazmee offering is featuring at number 3 in the list.

Thank You had a below average opening collecting Rs. 4.90 crore on its opening day but showed a 20% increase on its first Saturday, collecting Rs. 6.10 crore. This obviously increased the totals and bought the two day collection to Rs. 11 crore. The film grossed approximately 18 crore by the end of the first weekend and 29 crore by the end of its first week. Though the film did not make a huge initial impact in terms of collections, the collections remained steady thus ensuring that the film made Rs 45 crore by the end of its theatrical run. This was not the end of it though. The numbers game continued when the film managed to recover 90% of its cost through the sale of satellite, music and territorial rights which were sold to Colors and T-Series respectively for a sum of 30 crore. Clever won’t you agree.

Review-wise Raja Sen gave the film 1 out of 5, stating ‘Anees Bazmee’s latest film Thank You goes nowhere, and takes forever to, um, not get there’. Nikhat Kazmi reviewed for Times Of India and gave the film a slightly more generous 2.5 out of 5 saying ‘Thank You ends up as time pass fare, although it isn’t as rollicking as No Entry’. Prateeksha Khot reviewed the film for BollySpice and gave the film 2.5 out of 5, suggesting that this one is not a very bad movie but it isn’t a very good one either.

Thank You at number 3.
