Mission Istanbul actress Shweta Bharadwaj has a social conscious and is involved in campaigns to improve the conditions of street children in India. She recently attended a film festival on child rights which she hoped would provoke some of the audience into action. “We need to really move ahead and spread the message to these masses who are unaware of issues pertaining to children,” she says.
Shweta recently came clean about who her favourite actor in Bollywood is – Shahid Kapur. “I’ve just loved his journey from Ishq Vishk to Jab We Met,” she explains, “I think he has grown with every movie and looks hotter by the day. The promos of his forthcoming venture Kaminey have proved that. I would love to go on a date with him and talk about his experiences in Bollywood.” Shahid – are you listening?
Shweta is also pretty hot down South and recently starred in psycho-thriller Indumathi with Sivaji. She has also recently been working with Suniel Shetty on the movie Loot and claims that he is a father-figure on set, always making sure everyone is comfortable. However, he has a prankish side that keeps people on their toes. “I kept fearing that he will play a prank on me,” she confides, “Even when he was saying something serious, I kept hoping that it’s not a prank.”
Shweta is a great admirer of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and once said that she would love to have married her if she’d been born a boy.
