The courts may have acquitted Malayalam star Dileep. But his fraternity is very upset with the verdict. Now they are also upset with superstar Mohanlal who is being questioned for his presence in the forthcoming Dileep starrer Bha Bha Bha.
Mohanlal agreed to do the extended cameo when Dileep was under trial, the film is directed by Dhananjay Shankar. Two days after his acquittal Bha Bha Bha released its trailer. The film is being pitched as Dileep’s comeback.
But the question that Mohanlal’s friends and well wishers are asking is, what is Mohanlal doing in a Dileep starrer at a a time when most of the fraternity is secretly and not so secretly shunning him?
A close director-friend of Mohanlal spoke on condition of anonymity saying, “Mohanlal has a pure innocent heart. And he thinks the world too is the same. When the film’s leading man (Dileep) asked Mohanlal to be part of that film (Bha Bha Bha) and explained how it was crucial to his life and career to have someone like Mohanlal show faith (in Dileep) Mohanlal agreed on condition that his presence in the film not be advertised. But they are doing exactly that.”
