We recently bought you the news about the new musical concept ‘Suron Ke Rang’ which has been created by popular Indian Television channel ‘Colors’. The first event that they are hosting under this banner, is a special tribute concert to Gulshan Kumar ‘Salaam Shri Gulshan Kumar’ in association with TSeries.
Details have further emerged that after this tribute event, the television channel will give the platform to upcoming musicians. According to RadioandMusic.com, Colors CEO, Raj Nayak said “For a long time, we were contemplating on venturing into the music scene. We have many talent shows and we were adamant on not adding yet another talent show. This is when T-Series approached us that they were planning to pay a tribute to Gulshan Kumarji and we agreed to do a show with all the singers in the industry.” Colors have already begun planning their second event under the ‘Suron Ke Rang’ banner. Raj continues “The event might not be an award function which might get the highest of TRPs but it will pick-up because of music. Music has an immense power and this will make the IP very successful.”
The first event under the ‘Suron ka Rang’ banner will take place on 22nd September and will feature all prominent musicians and singers (Himesh Reshammiya, Alka Yagnik, Shaan, Udit Narayan to name but a few) that have worked with TSeries over the years. Music director Jeet Ganguli has composed a song especially for the concert which is written by lyricist Manoj Muntashir. The ‘Salaam Shri Gulshan Kumar’ tribute concert will be hosted by Shaan, Sonu Nigam and Ayushman Khuranna and it will air on Colors this November.
