karan-and-ranbir-ae-dil-mushkilLast week, the first schedule of Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil wrapped it’s shoot in London, England. The highly anticipated romantic film stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma with guest appearances from Fawad Khan and Imran Abbas.

During the shoot in London, the crew filmed many of the scenes indoors, mainly in Shoreditch, besides a few scenes which were shot outdoors. Ranbir also filmed at London St. Pancras/Kings Cross station during a night shoot. The same location has previously been used for the filming of movies such as Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and Jab Tak Hai Jaan.

Speaking to press at Aashni+Co’s Bridal and Festive preview recently, costume designer on the film, Manish Malhotra said, “It’s always great to be in London. We are here for Karan Johar’s movie and he is my best friend, so it’s always great to work together. Anushka plays a girl from London in the movie.”

The last day of the shoot took place at the 606 club in Kensington and apparently a local jazz band was hired for a scene. We hear that stars Shah Rukh Khan and Sophie Choudry visited 606 during the shoot!

Since there was no more work to be done for Ranbir in London, the actor, of course, checked out of the hotel where the crew is staying to spend some time with girlfriend Katrina Kaif at an undisclosed London hotel. Katrina Kaif visited Ranbir in London from Glasgow where she was filming for Baar Baar Dekho.

They cast and crew of ADHM were then on to Paris and that shoot has also wrapped. Some locations in Paris included the gorgeous Notre Dame cathedral, on the bank of river Seine and Sacré-Coeur in Montmartre.

We have learned that ADHM has now moved onto the next set of locations, this time in Austria. They are currently shooting in Innsbruck and we know they will also be shooting in Vienna.

Here’s some exclusive scoop for you – it being October and they being so close to Germany, Ranbir and some crew members drove to Munich for the famous Oktoberfest.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will only join the team of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil in Vienna after the release of her film, Jazbaa. The entire crew, including Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, will then come back to London at the end of October to begin the 2nd London schedule when more of the filming will take place outdoors.

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is set to release worldwide next year through 20th Century Fox. Stay tuned for more updates about the film.
