Known for her outstanding performances, Rani Mukerji once again takes on the challenge of an incredible and powerful role in her new film, Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway. Directed by Ashima Chibber, the drama, based on a true story, is set to release on the 17th of March. Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway is the story of a mother who shook an entire nation with her courage and willpower to win back her children.

About the film, the actress said, “Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway is a story of true human resilience, and it is a film that is dedicated to all the mothers out there. It is truly one of the most amazing scripts that I have read in a long time, and I immediately decided to do this special film.”

Adding, “Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway is an inspirational story about a mother fighting a country for her children, and I went through a rollercoaster of emotions shooting this film.”

As the film nears release, Rani says, “Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway is a very special film. I’m hoping that this film will resonate with everyone who wants to see an entertainer with a brilliant concept at its fore.”

ICYMI the moving story and the powerful performance by Rani in the upcoming film are showcased in the trailer

The trailer, which has hit over 18 million views has been unanimously praised by fans, especially for Rani’s performance in the film. The actress was overwhelmed with the response, saying earlier in an interview, “The reactions to the trailer have been too special and overwhelming, to say the least… I’m very humbled seeing the love pouring in from the world over, from my fans, people who have watched the trailer on social media, my own industry colleagues, friends, and family. In my entire career, this is probably the first time I am witnessing so much love and emotion of this kind for my work! Very rarely do we get to see such unanimous reactions for a trailer. To see people get teary-eyed and cry after seeing the trailer of a film is again never heard of before.”

Adding, “Somewhere they are connecting to the helplessness of a mother and are getting angered by the injustice. I am witnessing these kinds of reactions for the very first time. It baffles them that it’s a true story! I am really happy and hopeful that if the trailer can move them to this degree, they will definitely be moved to see Debika’s cathartic journey in the film. So keeping my fingers crossed for the 17th of March as the film hits the theatre. It needs all the love from everyone everywhere, so hoping and praying it finds its audience in large numbers.”
