As we told you earlier the “Boombatt” music of the keenly awaited film The Dirty Picture was launched at a dazzling concert held at Inorbit Mall, Malad, Mumbai, on Friday 4th November 2011.

Kick-starting a ‘dirty’ weekend, the concert recreated the colourful 80’s era and featured live performances by the film’s cast and singers.

Bappi Lahiri and Shreya Ghoshal rendered the chart-busting ‘Ooh La La’ while Kamal Khan crooned to the romantic ‘Ishq Sufiyana’.

Emraan Hashmi, Tusshar and Naseeruddin Shah, performed to the energetic music of the film, before Vidya Balan’s grand entry.

Vidya Balan, looking her sensuous best, performed on the mischievous song ‘Ooh La La’.

In case you were wondering why composers Vishal-Shekar are not there. The duo were unable attend due to a prior commitment in Pune.

The audiences had a great treat and were left asking for more.

The Dirty Picture Synopsis: Imagine a make-up girl who became an extra and then the most wanted heroine of the early 80s.

Chronicling the meteoric rise and steep fall of the erstwhile screen sensation SILK (Played by Vidya Balan), The Dirty Picture is set against the colorful and entertaining backdrop of the fierce male-dominated South-Indian film industry of the 80s.

The quintessential siren, Silk, knew her audiences, and it didn’t seem like anything would stop the ambitious starlet, till it did, in the form of unrequited love.

To the world, she was the queen of sensuality. But at heart, she was just another woman yearning for love in a ruthless world.

Balaji and Milan Luthria team up again after their smash hit, Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai, to create a humorous yet poignant entertainer, which is already in the news for being the most keenly anticipated musical drama of the year.

Starring Vidya Balan as Reshma, Naseeruddin Shah – Suryakant, Emraan Hashmi- Ebrahim and Tusshar- Ramakant, The Dirty Picture hits theaters worldwide on December 2nd.

The wonderful music of the film, which we here at Bollyspice gave 4 stars, is in stores now.

We have video and some pictures from the fabulous music launch event. Check them out!
