Ganesh Venkataraman, the former Mr India, and Trisha, who of course is a former Miss Chennai, have been said to have bonded well on the set of Abhiyum Nahnum in Kollywood. Their chemistry on screen is said to be something special. But does Ganesh, who has been tipped for Bollywood fame, enjoy mooning and crooning on screen? “Well people tell me that the Romantic Hero image goes very well with me,” he says, “Personally I want to experiment with all kind of roles, I am well trained in Martial arts so action films are also on the agenda.”
Trisha is one of the hottest properties in the South at present. She rose to fame on the back of Mounam Pesiyadhe, for which she won a Best Female Debut Award, Saamy and Ghilli and has since appeared in many more first-class affairs including Varsham (Best Actress Award), Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana (Best Actress Award), Aadavari Matalaku Ardhalu Verule (Best Actress Award). This year, she has been seen in movies such as Khrishna, Bheema and Kuruvi.
Kuruvi, in which Trisha is paired opposite Vijay, has recently completed 150 days and a reception to mark the occasion was held at the Sheraton Hotel. Trisha is currently learning Tamil the sentamizh way so she sounds authentic in her historical role in Kamal Hassan’s Marmayogi. She is also learning archery, horse riding and Kalarri Payattu for the movie that is already shaping up to be one of Kamal Hassan’s greatest epics ever. Recently, she chose authentic – but not too revealing – costumes from the Rajasthan period and insiders say she has never looked more beautiful than when the costume designer and make-up artist had finished with her for the trial shoot. Shreya and Hema Malini also have big roles in the film.
