For all those who are missing Munna Bhai and his sidekick Circuit, great news is headed your way. The third installment to the popular Munna Bhai series is scheduled to go on the floors as early as 2010. Arshad Warsi was quick to inform fans and the media of the update, also added that everything was ready for the film including the script. The film will be directed by Raju Hirani and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra just as the previous two.
The film would have started rolling much earlier but due to Sanjay Dutt’s jail stint, plans were delayed the script was shelved temporarily. However now that Dutt is out on bail, the film can continue to roll as usual. When asked about his relationship with Dutt, he went on to say, “Sanju is a zero complex guy. He has no issues with anybody or anything. He is also not insecure like other actors who’d get other actors’ scenes chopped to keep their own part. It’s just too cool working with him and that is why our comic timing and everything match.” He also added that he tends to have a blast with most of his co-stars including Riteish Deshmukh but when asked about Ajay Devgan he said, “Ajay and I are completely mad when we are together!”
His next feature film is Anil Kapoor’s Shortkut – The Con is On alongside Amrita Rao. “The film is actually not an out and out comedy…it’s got a story and it’s dramatic. But I bring in the humour in the film despite the fact that I am the villain and I play a bad guy. Akshaye and Amrita are the hero and heroine in the film,” he clarified.
Coming up for the actor is Ishqiya and Kaun Bola. He is also waiting for confirmation on Golmaal 3.
