Neetu Chandra is thrilled at her nomination in the Stardust awards for her performance in Oye Lucky Lucky Oye. “It is a big occasion for me,” she says, “It is so tough to make it in Bollywood and I have had to work really hard to achieve my success. I have chosen my films carefully and with the intention of making it to the top. And here I am with my first nomination. I am so super excited.”

Neetu works in both Bollywood and the South and has a pair of excellent Telegu and Tamil films in the pipeline. “The Telegu film is a remake of Khakee and it is called Satya Meva Jayate,” she explains, “The film has been directed by Raj Shekhar, who is also acting in the film. My Tamil film is a bilingual and I share the honours with Madhavan. The Hindi version, 13B, will release on the 6th of March.”

Neetu will also soon be seen in the star-studded Mumbai Crossing with Soha Ali Khan, Jimmy Shergill, Ranvir Shorey, Tara Sharma and Sonali Kulkarni amongst others. This will be followed by Kushar Parsaad Ka Bhoot with Randeep Hooda.

She has also recently been announced as the face of Gitanjali and will be the brand ambassador for their HOOP range of jewellery. “It’s a big break for me,” she says, “Such offers only come your way if you are accepted by the public. Films like Garam Masala, Traffic Signal and Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! have done well at the box office and this is the one way people tell you that you are doing well.”
