The new critically-acclaimed Indian action movie KILL is ready to screen at Robert DeNiro’s prestigious Tribeca Film Festival in New York City in June ahead of its official release in theaters all across North America on the 4th of July, with a India release on July 5th. Produced by Karan Johar and Oscar winner Guneet Monga Kapoor, the bold adrenaline-fueled thrill ride currently boasts a perfect 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes.

The film stars Lakshya, Tanya Maniktala, and Raghav Juyal, Kill is th story of army commando Amrit (Lakshya) who when he finds out his true love Tulika (Tanya Maniktala) is engaged against her will, he boards a New Delhi-bound train in a daring quest to derail the arranged marriage. But when a gang of knife-wielding thieves led by the ruthless Fani (Raghav Juyal) begin to terrorize innocent passengers on his train, Amrit takes them on himself in a death-defying kill-spree to save those around him, turning what should have been a typical commute into an adrenaline-fueled thrill ride.

Talking about the film in a recent interview Johar said he was ready to produce as soon as he heard the narration from director Nikhil Nagesh Bhat, “I was so invested in his written material and by the way he wanted to tell the story.”

Adding, “It’s the most violent film made out of India. We’ve never produced something this violent and for a filmmaker like me, who’s had one slap in my entire trajectory — for a tight slap that one actor gives another — for me, to present and produce a film like this is a complete diametric shift of genre.”

The official poster and the first new action clip have now premiered for the much anticipated film KILL which releases in North American theaters on Thursday, July 4th.
