Nick Jonas on Asian Network Breakfast with Nikita Kanda

Nick Jonas recently spoke to  BBC Asian Network Breakfast host Nikita Kanda for a special interview. The award-winning American singer-songwriter touched on many subjects, including his first Hindi track, the killer ‘Maan Meri Jaan’ with Indian rapper King, wife Priyanka Chopra Jonas, of course, and so much more.

We have some highlights just for you!

Talking about his collaboration with King, the artist said, “Yeah, I think that this collaboration with King was an incredible experience, and I am a big fan of his. When I first heard this song, I absolutely loved it, and he is obviously killing it as well.”

Excitingly, he also revealed he would love to do more, including songs for Bollywood films, “This song was a first big step, and I would love to do more collaborations and even do songs for Bollywood films.”

Asked about his favorite movie starring Priyanka, he said, “I mean, there’s almost 70 of them, but I’ve watched pretty much all of them. Barfi! is my favourite of hers, and Dil Dhadakne Do. At our Sangeet, we did a big number from Dil Dhadakne Do.”

So does he speak any Hindi? A few phrases, he says,  “Her friends decided to teach me all the bad things when I first got there – all the bad phrases. They didn’t tell me what I was saying, and then I figured it out later on, but it’s amazing that there are bits and pieces that I now understand, and I can string certain things together.”

Now this is just a sneak peek of what he had to say; you have to check out the full interview, which will be available on BBC Asian Network’s Breakfast Show with Nikita Kanda from 7 am on Wednesday, 17th March.
