It’s not just the public who are curious about the film and title of Rensil D’Silva’s upcoming film, initially titled Jehaad. In fact, actors of the film Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan, it seems had grown accustomed to the temporary name enough so that they had mentioned it in recent interviews regarding the film. Sources claim that they had hoped the films title would remain Jehaad but it seems that director D’Silva and producer Karan Johar are weary of the title and do not intend to keep the name.

Sources also claim that besides the curiosity factor, many are looking at the film with great suspicion and this seems to be worrying the producer. Jehaad, the Islamic term for Holy War, is sending out incorrect connotations about the film which is actually a “gripping thriller on terrorism” filled with the usual song, dance and melodrama included in Hindi films. It also contains an extremely “bold love sequence” between real-life lovers Kapoor and Khan.

The film is most likely to be renamed “Qurbaan”. D’Silva went on to concur, “We did consider it but it is unlikely that we will call the film Jehaad. Karan and I need to sit down and talk about it, but he has gone off to Cannes.”

We will bring you any updates as and when we hear them, so keep checking back for the latest!
