Bajatey Raho needed very stable weekdays to boast of some moolah that it could carry home. However that was not the case to be as the ensemble affair saw a downward trend with it’s first week billing reading around 7 crore. Though the film has been made at a minimal cost, the Shashant Shah directed affair would have done better with added collections.
Rest of the films didn’t fare any better with Nasha going down as well. After a poor weekend, the weekdays weren’t any better with the first week folding around the 5 crore mark. It was expected that the film would do well at the single screens but that didn’t happen either. It was clear that audience was just not interested.
Ditto for Issaq which is a major flop too with collections around the 5 crore mark. An expensive affair, the film didn’t open well and was further marred by poor word of mouth and reviews. The film didn’t really carry any chance of sustaining itself during the weekdays and that was the case as well with nothing really going in its favour.
Fourth release of the week, Luv U Soniyo, never quite took a start and ended its run around the 1 crore mark. Starring newcomers, it is a disaster and has added further red to the box office this year.
With close to 10 more films releasing this week, aforementioned films would struggle to find any footing whatsoever to help in their second week run. With Chennai Express arriving next week, it is going to be a quick closure and immediate arrival on DVD for these films.
