One of the films we definitely have on our radar is Reema Kagti’s Gold. We and fans are eagerly waiting to see the film play out in the big screen. But now there is some more exciting news, you can see it in the epic form of IMAX. Akshay Kumar today announced that GOLD will be digitally re-mastered in the immersive IMAX format and released in IMAX theatres in India and selected international markets.
Director Reema Kagti said, “It’s very exciting that ‘Gold’ will be releasing in the IMAX format. It offers such a majestic experience. The film has been shot at such great scale and in IMAX, the experience will only be further enhanced.”
Producer Ritesh Sidhwani agrees, “A major factor for the wide appeal of a film like ‘Gold’ is the scale and grandeur. So it is very exciting that Gold will be releasing in the IMAX format, which best showcases this and gives the viewer a greater experience.”
GOLD will release this Independence Day (August 15), which also marks the occasion of the 70th anniversary of free India’s first gold medal at the 1948 Olympics.
