While the initial installment of Dostana had Priyanka Chopra, the second installment has her arch rival Katrina Kaif. And this has upset Priyanka a tad bit who considers herself the real Desi Girl and the sets of Dostana, her “turf.” Chopra claims that even though she doesn’t play main lead in the film, she is more than obliged to give a passing shot for the film, even if that is a small cameo. What hasn’t been determined yet is if that scene will include Katrina or not.
“She was always supposed to do Dostana 2! I am excited about her replacing me. If I was asked to name someone for the part, I would’ve picked her. She looks fantastic and that’s what the film is about,” Priyanka diplomatically said when she was questioned about Katrina’s entrance into the film. As for her blink and miss scene in the film, she said, “It’s no fun if I tell you about it! Dostana is a very, very special film for me. Even if I do a cameo or not, I am going on that set! It’s too much fun. I will go and sit around and chill on the sets. Or just do one passing shot!”
While the duo were friends from their initial days as actresses, it was more recently that their friendship turned sour. They were slated to be a part of Shrishti Arya’s Hollywood remake of Bride Wars too. However, after Priyanka apparently got cozy with Ranbir Kapoor on the sets of Anjaana Anjaani, Katrina decided that the old chums couldn’t be friends anymore.
