Never mind empty talk from Mallika Sherawat about a desi-style Charlie’s Angels with Priyanka Chopra and Bipasha Basu, she’s been beaten the punch by director Vishal Aryan Singh with the United Six, a new-age thriller which will star Parvathy Omanakuttan, Daisy Naidu, Pooja Sharma, Luna Lahkar, Mahi and Isha Batwe. At the launch party for the movie, producer Surendra Bhatia said, “We are happy that we have finalized the cast of our new-age thriller, which will be shot in a single schedule of 45 days in Bangkok and Pattaya. It will be a trendsetter as it has six women as heroes. They don’t need a man in their life to make it complete. They are on a mission that will change their lives and nothing matters more that that!”
Last year’s Miss India Parvathy Omanakuttan looking stunning in a lime green off-the-shoulder pencil-line short dress and clearly destined to become a big star, added, “The script of the film has the intensity and imagination that appealed to me. And I am glad I am part of this venture.” Parvathy has made no secret of her ambition to become a success in Hollywood.
Daisy Naidu made her debut appearance in Garam Masala as Daisy Bopanna and has now adopted her mother’s name. “Mom has been a source of strength to me, supporting all my personal and career decisions,” she explains, “Hence I want to carry her name alongside mine. After Garam Masala, my mother insisted that I get straight back to Bangalore and finish my graduation. Now that my graduation is over, I’m back, all set to work towards a career in films.”
