As we reported earlier, Bollywood heartthrob Hrithik Roshan today came face-to-face with his wax figure at Madame Tussuads London. The unveiling event was also attended by his father Rakesh Roshan, mother Pinky Roshan, his gorgeous wife Sussanne Roshan, sister Sunaina Roshan and Hrithik’s maternal grandfather J. Om Prakesh and his wife. BollySpice was there and we have this exclusive report!
The event started with Bollywood dancers performing on the songs of Kites (‘Fire’), Kaho Na Pyaar Hai (Title song), Krrish (‘Dil Na Diya’) and Dhoom 2 (‘Dhoom Again’). Hrithik Roshan then made his grand entry with competition winners and press cheering for the Bollywood star. A live band was playing the instrumentals of ‘Bole Chudiyan’ from Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham which can be seen in our exclusive video, which Hrithik seemed to enjoy with a joyful smile on his face.
Hrithik Roshan was amazed and astonished when he got up close and personal with his own wax figure at Tussauds London. The only word that came out of his mouth in amazement after inspecting the statue was “WOW”. Hrithik Roshan posed for photographers in different poses, but also in his Dhoom 2 style, like the statue standing next to him.
His family seemed to be more excited and considered this a big honor for Hrithik and themselves. Sussanne Khan Roshan could not stop smiling with bliss and even gave a peck to the dummy while standing next to it. Also, the youngest member of his family Hrehaan Roshan and Hridhaan Roshan got a close up view of the statue. His parents were clearly proud of his achievement and admired the statue for some time, with happiness on their faces and pride in their eyes.
Speaking about the likeness of the statue Hrithik said,”It almost feels like it’s got a mind and a soul. This statue is a symbol of all the love and support and the kindness that I have received from the people who make me, me. So, I would firstly like to dedicate this (statue) to the spirit of family all over the world. To family and to fans, not just my fans but all fans in the world for the spirit they instill. Without them we would be nothing today.”
He also thanked Madame Tussauds. Hrithik is so impressed with the likeness of his statue that he said that all the artists, which make these figures, should have a wax figure of their own. “We have to honor the artists because it’s an absolutely genius work which is phenomenal. I have been through the entire process of how it is all done and believe me, I am a fan of these artists of Madame Tussauds and will remain so,” he said.
To the question where he would like his statue to be standing in the hall Hrithik said; “All by myself somewhere in the corner (laughing). I look around, and all these people are legends and icons. It’s such an honor and humbling. There are so many feelings in my mind and body right now that, I really can’t articulate how amazing this feels.”
In an exclusive with Hrithik’s wife Sussanne Khan Roshan she says: “It’s such an honor for him to be here. I know that he deserves it, so somewhere I am really happy.”
The one particular thing that she liked about the statue are the eyes.”They are unreal. They kind of speak out at you. And once you get the eyes, the rest of it is done,” she said.
