Starring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Randeep Hooda and Richa Chadha, the Omung Kumar directed biopic Sarbjit premiered at Cannes Film Festival on Sunday evening. The heart wrenching biopic of the slain prisoner Sarbjit Singh is set to release on 19th May 2016 in the UAE and 20th May 2016. SARBJIT is a stirring tale, depicting a 23-year tumultuous period, which Dalbir Kaur endured trying to secure her brother’s release from imprisonment. Her character is a reminder to us all to fight, to hold on and never give up.
The actress along with Richa Chadha, Director Omung Kumar, producer Bhushan Kumar, Deepshikha Deshmukh, Sandeep Singh and Jackky Bhagnani attened the Cannes Film Festival for the film. They not only attended a press conference but they also all walked the red carpert. Early reports are that the film was very well received with applause ringing out at the end of the film.
