Twenty-five years ago, when Prabhudheva’s hit song ‘Muqabala’ released, it become a national craze. Now we will get to experience the magic again because the iconic song has been recreated for Remo D’souza’s Street Dancer 3D. Not only that Prabhudeva will be seen in the dance along with stars Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor.
Varun and Shraddha, along with the other crew are in Dubai filming the most interesting dance sequences of the film. As the song was being shot, Prabhudheva effortlessly performed a minute-long sequence in a single take, while Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor, who have great memories of the song couldn’t stop themselves from cheering when Prabhu was filming his solo performance.
Varun tweeted, “Had goosebumps while watching him.”
On recreating the cult song, producer Bhushan Kumar says, “Muqabala is a song that became an instant hit back then and is still played in the clubs. When Remo had a situation in the film where we get to see Prabhudheva show his dance moves, I knew we needed to bring Muqabala back. The song was shot in Dubai recently and we have Prabhudheva, Varun and Shraddha with our key dancers. Audience is going to be blown away with the video and choreography. 25 years to the song that broke records back then, it is still one of my favourites. I am sure, the new version will be loved as well.”
We certainly can’t wait!
The film also features Nora Fatehi, Sonam Bajwa, Shakti Mohan, Dharmesh and several others in pivotal roles.
