Priety Zinta is counting days to the release of her first production Ishkq in Paris, and says that the making of this film definitely was a challenge for her. The film’s release got delayed due to the ill health of Prem Raj Soni, who is the director of the film.

Preity excitedly said, “Making Ishkq in Paris was a hard task, since I was doing it from the scratch. The script of the film is an original script that Prem and I wrote in 8 months. It is no adaptation, but purely original. This has been a wonderful experience for me.”

Talking about her multitasking in making the film, Preity said,” I had a lot of work to do. Not only was I writing the script, I was also the producer and the lead actress. So I always had my hands full.”

This film is Preity’s comeback in the industry after a gap of 3 years, as she was last seen in Main Aur Mrs. Khanna for which she did the item number ‘Happening.’

“I took this break to concentrate on cricket and my team Kings XI Punjab and so as the owner of the team I had to look into everything. I was getting a lot of offers for films meanwhile but I was just rejecting them. But then I met Dalai Lama, who inspired me and encouraged me to go back to my acting career,” she stated.

Preity’s production venture introduces TV actor Rhehan Malliek and French actress Isabelle Adjani.

Her character in the film is named Ishkq. Ishkq in Paris will hit the screens on 24th May.
