Preity fans can finally rejoice! After months of practically no new information about this A-league actress, we finally have some news. It’s not just any normal news, it’s news that could potentially have a drastic influence on Preity’s career.

Rituparno Ghosh of Raincoat and Chokher Bali fame has announced his next project, titled The Last Lear. The film will be made in English. Of course, it is any actress’ dream to work with such an acclaimed filmmaker, and Preity Zinta is the lucky one to get the chance of a lifetime.

Finally, the actress seems to be getting a positive turn in her career. Last year she had the release of Karan Johar’s KANK which unfortunately didn’t give her much scope. The same situation arose with Jaan-e-Mann in which she had a quite bland role. Finally, the tables have turned!

In addition to being confirmed as the leading lady of The Last Lear, Preity will be starring with all-time legend Amitabh Bachchan along with a host of actors like Arjun Rampal, Shafali Chhaya, Divya Dutta and Jishu Sengupta.

But, that’s not all! Preity has reportedly signed on for a special appearance in the King Khan starrer Om Shanti Om. Also, there are talks of her being part of Balram Sharma’s Kamaal Kayeel Raja and Samir Karnik’s (of Kyun Ho Gaya Na! fame) Mera Bharat Mahaan.

The saying that “the wait was worth it” couldn’t be truer in Preity’s situation. After months of being out of the news, Preity is back with a bang!

Preity is currently anticipating the release of Yash Raj Films’ Jhoom Barabar Jhoom directed by Shaad Ali Sehgal. She will be seen with Abhishek Bachchan, Bobby Deol and Lara Dutta in this flick, all set to release on June 15th.
