Adipurush is undoubtedly one of the biggest Indian films, not just in terms of star power and stature; the makers utilized the specialized film technique of motion capture that promises to give audiences a never-seen-before experience.

A T-Series Films, Bhushan Kumar and Retrophiles production, with music by the incredible composers Ajay-Atul and dialogue writer Manoj Muntashir Adipurush will be released in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil in the UK, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, USA, and Canada and Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam in the Middle East.

The film first premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival with much praise and applause; now, it is getting ready to hit the big screen and get even more applause on 16th June.

Director Om Raut said about the film, “It is the story of Prabhu Ram. It’s one aspect of the epic saga, it’s my screen adaptation of the epic.” Based on the mythological Ramayana epic tale, the film, set 7000 years in the past, celebrates the story about the triumph of good over evil.”

Let’s set the scene with the Adipurush synopsis:
Raghav (Prabhas), the prince of the Ikshvaku dynasty from Kosala, has been serving a fourteen-year exile in the wilderness along with his wife Janaki (Kriti Sanon) and younger brother Shesh (Sunny Singh). In the forests of Panchvati, near the river Godavari, where they are living their new life, a demoness, Shurpankha, tries to seduce the brothers and attempts to take Janaki’s life. Still, after a failed attempt, the demoness loses her ears and nose. Upon hearing of his sister’s humiliation, The Demon King Lankesh (Saif Ali Khan) abducts Janaki to take revenge. Raghav and Shesh set out to free Janaki with the help of the Monkey King Sugriv, his aide Bajarang and their monkey army. With the help of the Sea God, they are able to create a bridge across the sea. Raghav and his army now successfully cross the ocean to reach the shores of Lanka, where an epic battle follows between the armies. Raghav finally kills the Demon Lord, and Janaki is free.

Talking about Saif in the antagonist role, Raut had nothing but praise for the actor, “To play the strongest villain from our Epic, we needed a brilliant actor. Who better than Saif Ali Khan, one of the greatest actors of our lifetime, to essay this powerful role.” You will see what he means when you visit the final trailer!
