It’s safe to say that Priyanka Chopra has officially made her mark on the international scene. The worldwide darling made history by becoming the first South Asian to win a People’s Choice Award – Favorite Actress in a New TV Series for her role in ABC’s Quantico.
The People’s Choice Awards is a popular awards show in the U.S. that honors American movies, music and television. Unlike other major awards shows like the Golden Globes or Oscars, winners are voted on by the general public.
Priyanka, who shined in a Vera Wang sequined dress, smoky eye and stylish up-do, beat out other favorites like industry veteran Jamie Lee Curtis and popular young actress Emma Roberts. The award winner took to Twitter to graciously thank all her supportive fans.
