Priyanka Chopra is hard at work on her next project What’s Your Raashee?, directed by Ashutosh Gorwariker and co-starring Harman Baweja. The romantic comedy has Priyanka reportedly portraying 12 different roles that are based on the signs of the Zodiac. Seems the actress had to get into all 12 avatars for one of the songs in the film and it took over 22 hours of her dancing to complete the sequence.
A source told Subhask K Jha, “Priyanka shot with Raju Khan (who is Saroj Khan’s son) for 22 hours at a stretch. At times she couldn’t sit or take a breather for hours at a stretch. It was very important to get the continuity right. Otherwise the characters’ graph would’ve become lopsided. To dance and emote to a song in 12 different looks and make-up all at once is not an easy thing.”
The film just started a 6-8 day shooting schedule in Chicago and that is not the only location shoot planned for the film. In fact, there are up to 65 locations shoots planned. Gorwariker said, “Shooting for What’s Your Raashee? has been far more challenging than Jodhaa Akbar. This is because with this film, we are not shooting in one location and we are always on the move. This is more time consuming, but at the same time it is an exciting experience.”
The story of the film is based on the book Kimball Ravenswood by Madhu Rye, which follows Harman’s character searching for his dream girl. The twist in the kahani is that he must find her in 10 days to save his family. How the zodiac comes in we will have to wait and watch for the film to release!
