After the stunning success of Fashion and Dostana, Priyanka Chopra‘s year, and possibly her career, have been rescued. She’s been talking about her upcoming projects: “I’m doing Kaminey with Shahid Kapoor directed by Vishal Bhardwaj,” she says, “In the film, I play a Maharashtrian college girl and it’s an action comedy. Then, there is Ashutosh Gowarikar’s romantic comedy What’s your Rashee?, with Harman Baweja.”
Shah Rukh Khan recently described the former Miss World as the ‘sexiest Indian actress.’ How does she feel about that? “I think it is a very nice compliment, coming from one of the greatest actors in the country,” she confesses, “We had a blast working together in Don, and now, I’m doing a special appearance in his Billoo Barber.”
Priyanka is currently in Chennai as part of a promotional tour for Tag Heuer watches for which she is the brand ambassador. She was asked if she would return to working in the South: “I love movies be it in any language Tamil, Hindi or English,” she explained, “I like movies which have something that excites me. Tamil films are very special to me, I did my debut movie opposite Vijay in Tamizhan, and Tamil movies will always be close to my heart since I learnt a lot from them. I would love to come back and do a movie here.”
Priyanka is currently to be seen looking curvy and sexier than ever on the cover of Blender, which proclaims itself as India’s coolest music magazine. She follows in the footsteps of international stars such as Leona Lewis and Britney Spears as the cover girl for the magazine.
