Viacom 18 Motion Pictures’ super hit film Queen is still basking in the glory of the long list of accolades that are pouring in for it. The Kangana starrer was a massive hit among the audience with its simplicity and powerful storyline. Kangana Ranaut stole hearts with her brilliant performance as Rani – a girl from Delhi who goes on a honeymoon albeit alone. The film was such a success that it stole the show at the Filmfare award ceremony held on Saturday, 31st January 2015.
This year, the Filmfare was a lavish affair which saw the who’s who of the industry present to celebrate the talent in Bollywood and Queen was the toast of the evening. This Vikas Bahl film won 6 awards at the prestigious award function.

- Best Film: Queen
- Brest Director: Vikas Bahl
- Best Cinematographer: Bobby Singh and Siddharth Diwan for Queen
- Best Background score: Amit Trivedi for Queen
- Best Editing: Abhijit Kokate and Anurag Kashyap for Queen.
Queen was the highlight of Indian cinema in 2014 with roaring appreciation and continuous support from fans. The film made Kangana Ranaut a household name and established that a film with a strong story will live on forever.
Filmfare is an annual award function that often is considered as prestigious and many in Bollywood aim to find the black lady on their shelves.
