Bollywood and Pakistani singer Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and dance group BollyFlex UK will be performing at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert in Oslo on Thursday, 11th December. They will also be joined by Indian classical artist Amjad Ali Khan, which has been co-ordinated by the organisers in order to give this year’s concert a strong Indian-Pakistani touch to it. This is undoubtedly due to the fact that this year’s Nobel Peace Prize laureates are Indian child activist Kailash Satyarthi and Pakistani education rights campaigner Malala Yousafzai.
Both Yousafzai and Satyarthi have been applauded globally for their work in helping to improve the lives of children. The prize has also been awarded as part of the committee’s efforts to unite India and Pakistan; given that both nations have conflicted with each other over the decades.
