Hindi filmdom’s original superstar Rajesh Khanna is unwell. The 69-year-old manager of the actor confirmed that he has stopped intake of food since the past few days,
“Rajeshji is unwell. He has stopped having food since the last three or four days. He is not able to have his food. Khaana muh pe nahi jaa raha hai (The food is not going into his mouth).” Ashwin didnt mention if the actor will be taken to a hospital anytime soon.
In April the actor was admitted after complaining of uneasiness. He spend two days in the hospital where he was being closely obeserved by the doctors and his ex-wife Dimple Kapadia, who is by his side now as well.
His current ill health brought his younger daughter Rinke to Mumbai Wednesday morning. “Rinke and her mother Dimple Kapadia are by his side and taking care of him,” said Ashwin.
Dimple and Rajesh Khanna’s elder daughter Twinkle is expecting her second baby with Bollywood star Akshay Kumar.
The actor suffered alcoholic problems all through his life and it is said that he has given up alcohol in January
Rajesh Khanna, who is known to be Hindi cinema’s “first superstar”, began his acting career with the movie Aakhri Khat in 1966. He rose to fame with films like Raaz, Do Raaste and Aradhana.
He earned his title after he starred in 15 consecutive solo super hits between 1969 to 1972.
Most recently, the actor was seen in a TV commercial for Havell’s fan. The campaign was directed by R. Balki.
