Ranbir Kapoor’s prank on co-star Kalki Koechlin on the sets of Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani went horribly wrong ultimately stalling shoot. It’s not the first time that Ranbir Kapoor has played prank on his Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani co-stars.
This time during the shoot of a wedding scene, the actor’s prank on Kalki Koechlin put her and him in a bit of a spot, quite literally!
A source says, “Ranbir, who was in a mischievous mood, was supposed to apply a small amount of turmeric paste on Kalki’s face. But instead of applying a little paste on her face for the shot, Ranbir went ahead and plastered it all over”.
To make things worse, Kalki’s sensitive skin reacted very badly to this act. Although the 29- year- old actress took the whole episode sportingly, the shooting came to a standstill. Because of the reaction Kalki couldn’t shoot for two days as the rashes were quite visible. So the unit thought of letting her skin go back to normal.
Funnily enough, it was very difficult to do the scene again as everyone was scared, what if she develops the rash again?
The second time around, however, there were no pranks and the shoot went off smoothly.
Ayan Mukherji’s Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani will release in UK cinemas on 31st May 2013 through Eros International. UTV Motion Pictures will release the film across India.
