Rani Mukherji’s performance as a journalist in No One Killed Jessica was loudly praised and loved by both the critics and the audience. Now, she will be seeing playing a journalist again in Karan Johar’s Bombay Talkies and is teaming up with him after almost six years.
For this film, Rani is playing a journalist who is also Randeep Hooda’s sexually repressed wife. KJo is apparently very happy with the outcome of the film and feels that yet again, Rani has proved her talent and her versatility. A source said, “Karan is also very happy with Randeep Hooda who plays Rani’s husband in the film and Saqib Saleem (lead actor of Mere Dad Ki Maruti).”
Bombay Talkies, produced by Viacom18 and Flying Unicorn, is a tribute to 100 years of Indian cinema with Karan Johar, Anurag Kashyap, Zoya Akhtar and Dibakar Banerjee as the filmmakers. This film is a compilation of four 20 minute short films into one movie. Bombay Talkies will hit the theatres on 3rd May.
