Sequel season continues with the latest one being the 2005 comedy caper by Anees Bazmee No Entry. Although a sequel to this film has been rumoured for quite some time, it has never materialised as fact. But sources have told Midday, that the idea is now taking shape.
“There has been speculation about the status of No Entry 2 but it remained just that. But now work is in progress to heighten the fun quotient in the second part”. Titled No Entry Mein Entry, it will join the long list of sequels that have either been announced or in progress which includes Partner 2, Double Dhamaal and Hera Pheri 4. But what about the casting? While the former two listed has the same cast, the latter, Hera Pheri 4, is rumoured to have a different cast. So which will this follow? Boney Kapoor, producer of the first film and the sequel, clarifies,”The original male cast of Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor and Fardeen Khan remain and will be seen in double roles. The female cast hasn’t been locked. We will decide in the coming weeks.”
Considering Salman Khan is on roll with Dabanng smashing the box office, Anil Kapoor is busy with the American TV series ’24’ and his Diwali release No Problem, and Fardeen Khan is recovering from his last film Dulha Mil Gaya’s poor show, the sequel seems to be ideal for the trio to continue/change their fortune. But with some amazing performances and good music in No Entry, the pressure is on to make this sequel outshine its predecessor.
