Director Reema Kagti is still searching for a hero for her latest project, after actor Saif Ali Khan walked out on the project.
Reportedly Saif walked out on the project as he was asked by the producers to take a pay cut, which he was unwilling to do. Reema’s latest project, which has Kangana Ranaut in the leading female role, will commence shooting in May and she has yet to find a leading man to serenade the Queen actress. Apparently, Reema approached Arjun Kapoor for the leading male role, but unfortunately this did not work out due to date issues.
A source told a leading Indian newspaper the following. “About a fortnight ago, Arjun had a meeting with Reema, Zoya (Akhtar) and Ritesh (Sidhwani) with regards to the film. He was given a narration, and Arjun liked the script too, but the dates aren’t working out.” Arjun is unable to do the film as he is committed to doing a YRF film, which will be directed by Shimit Amin, who directed Rocket Singh (2009) which starred Ranbir Kapoor.
