Reliance BIG Home Video today launched this year’s biggest hilarious hit, Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge?. This is Reliance BIG Home Video’s second mega release in this month, following on the heels of My Name is Khan.

A light hearted comedy, Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge? is based on a short story in Hindi by popular satirist Sharad Joshi. The movie is about Puneet (Ajay Devgn) and Munmun (Konkona Sen Sharma), a happily married couple living in Mumbai whose lives take an interesting turn when a distant relative, Chachaji (Paresh Rawal) turns up unannounced at their doorstep from a far off village. The guest overstays his welcome so much so that the exasperated couple come up with various ploys to hasten his departure to hilarious results.

This Warner Bros. Pictures and Wide Frame Films’ production has Ashwni Dhir directing the comic caper.

A clean comedy, the film had both the audience and the critics rooting for it. What has worked extremely well for the film is the superb casting. Paresh Rawal pitches as the picture perfect Chachaji, Konkona Sen Sharma brings a new freshness and Ajay Devgn proves his comic timing again. Apart from this impressive & refreshing story, the DVD, priced at Rs.299, also contains bonus features such as ‘Making of the Film’ and the famous, ‘Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge’ music video. The VCD is priced at Rs. 99.

Sweta Agnihotri, Chief Operating Officer, Reliance BIG Home Video says, “Atithi’s success of the film lies in its simplicity. It is one of the best family entertainers in recent times. Comedy as a genre works well in home entertainment and Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge, with its share of subtlety and clean fun, will surely be a success on home video as well.”

“The film has been a resounding success in the box-office, families can now welcome this Atithi as a permanent guest in their household and be entertained anytime they wish”, says N. Muthuram General Manager, Warner Home Video.

The final verdict is that ‘Atithi ’ like these are most welcome. With the home video out now, we are sure to find this ‘Atithi’ not leaving anytime soon.
