It has been confirmed that Reliance Entertainment has signed a lucrative deal with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, where they will be marketing and distributing four of its films in the international market. These four films include the Imran-Kareena starrer Gori Tere Pyaar Mein and the Parineeti-Siddharth starrer Hasee Toh Phasee. In addition Ungli, which has Emraan Hashmi and Sanjay Dutt in the leading roles is included in the deal, as well as Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya, which will see Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan reuniting following their joint debut in Johar’s fifth directorial Student of the Year.
Speaking about this exciting new venture, Mahesh Ramnathan who is COO at Reliance Entertainment had this to say, “Reliance Entertainment is delighted to partner Dharma Productions- India’s premier film production house. The collaboration should break new ground in the overseas markets and expand the reputation of both the companies internationally.”
Adding to this, Apoorva Mehta, who is CEO of Dharma Productions mentioned the following, “We are very excited about having Reliance Entertainment as our Overseas distribution partner for our next 4 releases. Our strength in content creation matched by their distribution expertise will ensure that the films have the widest possible reach in traditional and nontraditional market.”
