Promotions for India’s first 3D dance film ABCD- Any Body Can Dance have begun in full swing, and director Remo D’souza is in the mood of some serious gratitude. Remo has said that he could not have made ABCD without Prabhu Deva in it. “I cannot imagine making ABCD with anyone else but him. I am so happy that he agreed to do the film,” he added.
He further said,”Prabhu has helped me so much in the making of this film. He has been a successful director and a choreographer and he was always there to give his tips. The best part is that all the dancers in the film are professionals, so all I had to really do was just explain the shots.”
He also said that he is grateful to his cast for being patient as the filming was a bit time consuming. He enthusiastically stated,” I want to make the 3D genre more popular in India now. This is a total 3D film. Many directors have made their 2D films into 3D, which is not originally 3D. I hope people accept this film and I think they will, with the amazing response that the promos have received. Making a 3D film is a totally different experience.”
Remo also accepted that making a 3D film is expensive and takes time. He told us,” Making a 3D film requires a lot of time and money. I am excited to see the response that a 3D dance genre will receive. My entire team and I believed in my script and UTV has strongly supported me. I am pretty sure I will not let my producers down and people will go to watch the film.”
Choreographer Salman Yusuff Khan, who won the reality show Dance India Dance and has also been a choreographer on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 4 and 5, is also a part of this film. He said that ABCD is a family entertainer. “I always believe in doing something different, and in ABCD it is a team that wants to do something different. The film has a lot of work and effort put into it, and I promise everyone pure entertainment,” he chuckled.
Meanwhile, Salman is also excited as this is his first film as an actor and he believes that it is wise to be multi-talented these days. He said, “Our generation is that of all-rounders like Farhan Akhtar, who can sing and act and direct. I am excited about my first step as an actor because this is an entirely new area for me to explore. Inshallah, you will get to see more of me.”
ABCD is said to release on 8th February and is produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur. It also stars Ganesh Acharya along with Prabhu Deva and other dancers.
