As the release date of the Kantara sequel, Kantara: Chapter 1, approaches the mythology surrounding the production threatens to exceed the plot on screen.
The latest on this front is that the Kantara leading man Rishab Shetty has charged no money for either his direction or his presence as the leading man.
“Rishab has not taken a single penny upfront. Instead, he will be profit-sharing with the producers whenever the film makes its profits,” a source close to the project reveals.
The profit-sharing mode of remuneration was once followed by Akshay Kumar and Aamir Khan who now prefer to be paid in advance before shooting starts.
