An exciting new film, starring Riteish Deshmukh, was announced today and we have all the details. Titled Raja Shivaji, it is an epic historical drama set to bring to life the extraordinary journey of a young Shivaji who rebelled against the mighty powers to be and eventually went on to become the revered Raja Shivaji and establish Swarajya.
The film also sees Riteish Deshmukh taking the director’s chair. The bilingual (Marathi & Hindi) film has long been a passion project for Deshmumh. From what we hear, Raja Shivaji aims to set new benchmarks on an unprecedented scale, exploring the life of Maharashtra’s greatest warrior – rebel king Shivaji Maharaj’s brave spirit.

The music will be composed by music maestros Ajay–Atul, while cinematography will be helmed by iconic visual storyteller Santosh Sivan, marking his debut in Marathi cinema.
