Film marketing plays such a big part in our world today that the actions of every actor pre and post release is put under scrutiny because everyone is constantly asking ‘Is this a publicity stunt?’. So naturally when Riteish and Genelia wedding coincided all too beautifully with the release and promotion of their film Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya, the same questions were posed. After all it’s not unheard of that actors fake date and even have fake breakups, all in the name of publicity. However, an insider refutes the rumour and clarifies why exactly Riteish-Genelia’s wedding coincided with the film promotion.
What actually happened is that Riteish and Genelia re-discovered their love on the set of Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya. “Their chemistry has come across beautifully and the director had a wonderful time capturing it on screen”, the insider divulged.
Producer Kumar Taurani, who was witness to their real and reel-life chemistry, says, “Besides playing a couple on screen, Riteish and Genelia actually got to spend a lot of time with each other on the sets. In the past, both had busy schedules and they would catch up whenever they could. However, my shoot kept them together constantly. They just couldn’t get enough of each other. In fact, we just shot a wedding scene and fans thronged the sets assuming they were actually getting married. The reactions had to be seen to be believed.”
Well there you have it. No publicity stunt. Just plain old realities of the film business that is all to famous for bringing couples together in both reel and real life!
