Its Durga Puja time…The Puja organized by The North Bombay Sarbajanin Durga Puja Charitable Trust, which has become synonymous with four days of unadulterated fun, food and family, is back for its 66th year. This annual offering in which the Mukerji family takes an active part, will take place this year at the Tulip Star Hotel premises, Juhu from 10th – 14th October, 2013.

Despite the starry presence and the huge footfalls, the best thing about this Durga Puja is that it still manages to have a personalised family feel to it. The members of the Trust and their friends can be seen performing the Puja rituals, participating in the entertainment programmes and serving Bhog to everyone who turns up. It’s like being at your very own Durga Puja.

Like earlier years, this time too, there will be four back-to-back gala evenings of musical extravaganza and cultural shows performed by the best of Bollywood:

Oct 10, 2013, Sashti- 8pm: performances by the Trust members & their families
Oct 11, 2013, Saptami- 8pm: performance by Shaan
Oct 12, 2013, Ashtami- 8:30pm: performance by Pritam
Oct 13, 2013, Novomi- 8:30pm: performance by Sukhwinder Singh

Besides the cultural programme and prayer offerings, Bhog will be served every day during the three days of the Puja between 12.30 and 3.30pm.

Overall the Puja is set to witness about 100,000 footfalls every day.
