Audiences and critics loved Abhishek Kapoor’s film Rock On!! starring Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal, Luke Kenny and Purab Kohli. It rocked the box office and now it seems it is getting even more recognition and it is not even award season yet!

The script has been made part of the permanent collection of the prestigious Oscar library. It is a big honor for a script to be housed within the library and producer Ritesh Sidhwani said, “It’s a great high for me that the script of our first film in association with Big Pictures has found a place in the Oscar Library. We got overwhelming reactions from across the board and now the news of the script going to the Oscar library; can’t get better than this”. The script will now be available for research for film student, producers, directors and actors.

Another thrill for the producers is that the film has also been awarded the Path-breaking Film of the Year at the Star Sabse Favourite Kaun Awards. Farhan Akhtar was delighted not only because the film won but even more so because the audience chose the film for the award: “Rock On has been a great experience, but what has been even more beautiful is the appreciation this movie has received. Rock On is a coming of age film and I am more than glad that the critics as well as the audiences have loved this film so much. The ‘Sabse Favourite Kaun’ Award is symbolic of the love of the audiences; after all, what is better than receiving an award which has been chosen by the audiences itself!”

The film was also honored with the Anand Lok Star Puraskar for Best Film in Kolkata and producer Sidhwani i could not be happier, “Appreciation and accolades are always welcome, but it is even more special when it comes from the audience, because in the end it is them who make us! I am so delighted to have received two extremely prestigious awards, both of which have been the audiences’ choice. Rock On is a very special movie, and I am eternally thankful to the audience for embracing this film so well”.
