Filmmaker Karan Johar’s Bollywood extravaganza with so much pyaar Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani has had an outstanding response in the UK and overseas markets in its debut weekend, collecting around $4 million. While competing with Barbie and Oppenheimer for screens, the film is still proving to be highly successful in cinemas around the world.
As a result of exceptionally strong ticket sales, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani is on course to outperform Tu Jhooti Main Makkaar and Jugjugg Jeeyo, two earlier releases of the same genre, within week one of its theatrical release.
