The former star of TV’s Kasamh Se and the host of Cinemascope and now Comedy Circus – Teen Ka Tadka, Roshni Chopra is overjoyed at landing the role of Rajneesh Duggal‘s wife in Phirr. “I will be playing the role of Sia who is Rajneesh’s wife,” she confirms, “The shooting of the film took place in Newcastle in England. The movie is an urban romantic thriller with a philosophical twist which is slated to release sometime next year in March or April.”
Newcastle, which is in the far north of England, close to the Scottish border, came as a bit of a shock to the warm-blooded Roshni with its cold winds that drift in from the North Sea. “It was freezing cold,” she says, “The temperature was well below -2 degrees and we were shooting on a ship. It was so cold I had to hold a ‘hot water bottle’ to keep my hands thawed.”
Roshni also co-hosted the show India’s Got Talent – in fact, her section was called India’s Got More Talent which took a look behind the scenes with the contestants. “It’s more interesting to see them behind the scene,” she argues, “Here we show the funny side of the contestants. People love to watch it because it’s funny and full of energy.”
