Ruslaan Mumtaz, the youngster who debuted with last year’s youthful release Mera Pehla Pehla Pyar (aka MP3) is all set to star in a international film. Christopher Miles, the director of this new movie, was thoroughly impressed with Ruslaan’s work in MP3 and he’s reportedly finalised Ruslaan for the movie.
The movie is the tale of Farouk, the last King to rule Egypt and Sudan from the 1930s to the 1950s. It was resemblance in the facial expressions of Farouk and Ruslaan that made Christopher finalise Ruslaan as the perfect choice. However, Ruslaan does need to prepare for the role and that includes putting on weight and growing a moustache. Along with preparing for the role physically Ruslaan is doing his homework on King Farouk. He’s been reading books and researching the King in order to understand the role better.
One of the most exciting parts about this project is that Ruslaan might get the opportunity of a lifetime to romance Keira Knightly. Rumour has it that the British actress may well play an opera singer in this epic that falls in love with Farouk.
Only time will tell as to whom Ruslaan will romance and how well does he rule the screens on an international platform. Here’s wishing the youngster the very best of luck and hoping that he makes Indian cinema proud!
