For his new film Race, Saif Ali Khan has joined in with the trend of stars doing their own dangerous stunts. Usually body doubles are used, but in this case Saif refused to use one when he had to jump from the 22nd floor of a building.
Abbas-Mustan, who are co-directing the film explained, “Race has many dangerous stunts and all of them had to be shot in such a way that it looked dangerous as well as real. In one of the scenes Saif had to jump down from a 22-storey building and he refused to use a body double for the scene. He wanted to do the scene himself.”
Though attached, of course, to a harness it was a very risky thing to do and Producer Ramesh Taurani said, “Everybody on the sets would get frightened and our hearts would stop beating as soon as he jumped down.”
Saif not only had to do the stunt once he had to do it 3 times to make sure the shot was canned!
This incredible stunt will be seen when Race, races into theaters in February. Be sure to check back here for all the latest Race news!
