Music composers Salim-Sulaiman will be making their Hollywood debut soon. The duo have composed two songs for the Academy Award winner Jeffrey D Brown’s film Sold.
Sold deals with human trafficking and has been shot in India. Salim said they are excited to be part of this project. “The makers called us saying they wanted us to do the music for this film. Though it is a Hollywood film but its roots are Indian. The subject is intense, powerful and heavy but it was fun doing music for it.”
He adds, “It feels great opportunity to be a part of this project as the theme of the film is about human trafficking. We feel fortunate.”
Salim Sulaiman, known for their hit music for films such as Band Baaja Baaraat, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and Fashion, have composed two songs for the Hollywood project. “One is a celebration song and other is a wedding song. We have given a kind of music that will appeal to all,” Salim said.
Their upcoming Bollywood films include Satyagraha, Krrish 3 and Kanchi.
