Salman Khan fans who follow him on the micro-blogging site, Twitter would have been disappointed by his latest tweet, which read: “Looks like I might have to get off Twitter. Don’t want to but what to do? I think I messed up, so sorry guys, sorry bolne mein koi sharam nahi (translation: there is no shame in saying sorry).”

The actor’s tweet came after the controversy that erupted after an interview with a Pakistani TV channel. He was criticized for saying that the 26/11 attack in Mumbai attracted “too much hype” as only “elite people were targeted.”

After realizing that his comments were blown out of proportion, the Dabangg star apologized to anyone he may have offended. The video was posted on YouTube.

His father defended his son, saying that he is not “articulate and political.”

After joining the social networking site in April this year, Salman’s Twitter account has reached over 402,900 followers.

The “Twitterverse” waits to see if Salman will be true to his tweet and delete his account. If he does, no doubt, his spontenous, short and comical tweets will sorely be missed.
